Dr. Yousif Subhi, Department of Ophthalmology, Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, Denmark and University of Southern Denmark, Odense, Denmark. Dr. Subhi received his medical degree from the University of Copenhagen in 2015, followed by a PhD degree in 2018, and is currently a staff specialist and medical retina fellow at the Department of Ophthalmology, Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen. During his PhD fellowship he was a visiting researcher at Kyoto University Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto, Japan. He also holds a position as an associate professor at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense, Denmark.
Dr. Subhi has published more than 130 papers in peer-reviewed journals, achieving an H-index of 29, with a focus on age-related macular degeneration, central serous chorioretinopathy, and evidence-based retinology. He is an energetic group leader and clinician-scientist with a great commitment to research and teaching. He has initiated prospective studies, engages in consortia, and focuses on establishing and contributing to international cooperation. He serves on the editorial board of several international journals and governs national guidelines for the Danish Ophthalmological Society. He is the president of FAYO, the world’s oldest young ophthalmologist association. As a continuation of his contributions to Euretina, he continues his work to promote the interests of young ophthalmologists both in Denmark and internationally.
